Just looking at this picture gives me chills down my spine. The execution is amazing.

Feeling: Though this is a much used pose, this particular picture makes it new. It's not so much how the person is positioned, but the emotion, the feeling provided by that pose. Usually it conveys a more desperate or sexual feeling, but the look, the emotion this woman portrays is far, far more complicated than that. There is not really a word for this emotion, it could be the moment she notices a car accident, the moment she sees someone she might recognize, or simply she is looking at you and not in such a good mood. It looks like she is looking at something though, definitely. Though her eyes are directed at you, she seems to be looking at something farther away, something you could see if you simply turned about.

Color: The shimmering golden color is obvious, and portrays a pure mood, something untouched. But, the black lining her eyes and the more murky colors in the background could be thought of as foreboding, darker modes, a secret in the background. Still, the colors go together very nicely, and I like that they are not 'warm' tones, more cool golds and reds. It lifts off the intensity of her eyes and makes the picture pleasantly tolerable.

Photo Editing: I could be wrong, but I do believe that there is a bit of photo editing. The addition of the gold glow in front fits very well, but could be a tiny bit overdone. The idea was nice, and gives the picture complexity. That I respect. That particular gold is a medium gold, not warm nor cold. It contrasts against the cool golds that have been used so far, but appeals to the medium skin tones of the model herself. So, it works.

Model: As I said before, this pose has been used many times. But I will concentrate on the styling itself. The plain clothes (plain as far as we can see with the cropping) let you be drawn more towards the eyes, the center of attention. I appreciate that there are still some marks on her skin, so she does not seem completely synthetic. I also like that the makeup used was natural, not some tropical concoction of rainbow smears. Also, the hair falls naturally, and is not glued in position. The stray strands make for a much more organic feel, like someone you know vs a model for Merona. The color of her hair compliments that of her eyes, and also her skin and lips.

Negatives: Only negative that seriously stands out to me is the yellow accents in front. If they were slightly less obvious, the picture would pull together beautifully (more beautifully than it already is).

All together, a lovely shot. The colors, though they seem to be simple, are actually deep and complex. Only yellow blotches distract. 8.6/10

Vision: 4/5: The artists had good insight, a good feeling of what they were doing.

Originality: 4/5: This would have been 3/5 since it is a common pose, but the emotion kicks it up 20% :)

Technique: 3.5/5: I really love the picture as a whole, but the yellow is distracting. It might just be me, but it is still off by a bit.

Impact: 5/5: though the other stars don't quite add up, the picture as a whole is amazing, everything is so stark and graceful. If you shred down individual factors, you get a mediocre score. But once combined, it is stunning.

I really love this photo. Her makeup overall is very simple and not too overwhelming, although the eye shadow just makes her gorgeous green really pop. Her blonde hair really goes well with the entire composition of the piece, since there are a lot of interfering light sources being trapped in the glass. Her stare just cuts me right to the bone, as if subliminally telling the viewer, "I'm in charge now, look at me or else." Your model, Simone, is a natural beauty, and I'm very happy that she was chosen for this shot. Great photography, keep it up!
